We are working with a leading engineering services business that is seeking a Junior Civil Site Engineer to support the operations.

 

The successful candidate will monitor site performance, ensuring commercial targets are met while upholding safety, reliability, and sustainability standards.

 

The role of a Junior Site Engineer:

  • Work closely with the site management team, providing technical support to establish safe, responsible, and efficient operations.
  • Play a key role in performance monitoring, problem-solving, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide technical support and establish best practices.
  • Conduct monthly surveys and reporting while offering practical problem-solving solutions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of site progress, aligning performance with client expectations.
  • Assist in business planning through accurate forecasting and operational monitoring.
  • Identify opportunities for improving design and operational efficiencies.
  • Maintain all necessary records for regulatory and legal compliance, ensuring audit readiness.
  • Accurate setting out and production of daily, weekly, and monthly surveys
  • Forecasts for planning future work on-site and business planning purposes
  • Identification and formalisation of contract variations
  • Production of designs balancing client needs with commercial and engineering objectives
  • Proactive record-keeping for compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Technical responses to site design constraints and opportunities

 

Ideal qualifications and experience of a Junior Civil Site Engineer:

  • Experience of design, setting out and reporting of civil engineering or mining and quarrying projects.
  • Sound knowledge of engineering methods and health and safety regulations.
  • Educated to degree/HNC level or equivalent with qualifications in Civil Engineering or similar.
  • Conversant in modern surveying systems and equipment.
  • Full UK Driving licence.
